Field Notes. Ken has started in on fall tasks – he tilled the area where garlic will planted.
He has started the preparation for moving the mobile high tunnel over the fall greens.
and expanded the pig area.
He is crossing items off that to do list!
From the Kitchen. Ken has been getting up early and cooking! One morning he made an onion, pepper, quiche with greens on top. He used the recipe from Fanny Farmer Cookbook
Yesterday he made the first pumpkin pie of the season. We don’t usually harvest pumpkins until after frost; the frost makes them sweeter. Ken wanted to check one to see if they should be harvested now
