The clay Ken uses to make his pottery comes from our land; most of the glaze materials are from our land or from two rock powders found within a 30 mile radius of our place. (We really like to keep it local.) Ken throws on a Leach treadle wheel. Periodically we fire the wood kiln with a crew over three days. The pots are like stones in a river of flame and ash that affects each pot in a unique way. Ken’s focus is on functional and sculptural work. To see the pottery contact us to confirm we will be here. If you are interested in helping with the firing, please contact us for details.
